This huipil worn by the women of Santa Catarina Palopó is of different shades of blue and green because Santa Catarina is on the shores of Lake Atitlán. By weaving it in these colors, the women express the deep relationship they have with the lake.
This huipil took 8 weeks of hard work in back-strap loom.
